Lecture: Basic Riding Technique

Lecture: Basic Riding Technique

December 5
LOCATION
For all levels
Breaking down the foundation that supports all riding — from first turns to confident off-piste lines. We'll calmly organize what exactly to develop and in what sequence, so that each run starts bringing more control and enjoyment.

Program

Stance

How to position your body so that the board (or skis) finally stops "living its own life". We'll break down the correct position of the torso, legs, and arms for maximum control.

Balance and Center of Gravity

Where it should actually be and why everything starts working when you find it. Learn to feel the proper weight distribution.

Leg Work

How to carve a turn, not just "rotate your torso". We'll break down the mechanics of proper turning and edge loading.

Speed Control

Not just pizza/hockey stop, but more conscious tools. Learn to control speed through technique, not fear.

Transitioning to Difficult Runs

What should appear in your technique to feel comfortable when moving from blue to red runs.

Common Mistakes

How to catch them on video or by feel. We'll analyze the most frequent problems of beginners and intermediates.

#After the lecture you will:

  • Understand what exactly to do on the slope to improve your technique
  • Know your weak points and how to work on them
  • Have a concrete development plan for your next riding sessions
  • Feel more confident on any runs

If you want to feel more confident on the slope and understand what specifically to develop — this lecture is for you!
